It does. Lots on the edge of town collect field dust, chaff and cottonwood through the summer, and the coil fins trap it. A packed coil can't shed heat, so pressures climb and the compressor trips on overload on the hottest days. Hose it gently from the inside out with the power off in June and again in midsummer. If the fins are packed solid, book a visit so the coil gets a proper cleaning.
