AirEase Allied Air Enterprises LLC, a Lennox International company AirEase was founded by the Lennox Furnace Company in Columbus, Ohio, and today it's an Allied Air brand assembled in South Carolina.Amana Daikin Comfort Technologies North America Amana comes from the same Daikin-owned company as Goodman, with stainless-steel furnace heat exchangers, some upgraded cabinets and a different warranty story.American Standard Trane Technologies American Standard heating and cooling equipment comes from Trane Technologies, the same parent as Trane, and much of it shares Trane's engineering.Ameristar Trane Technologies Ameristar is the value-priced line sold under the American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning name, and Trane Technologies lists it among its brands.Aprilaire Research Products Corporation of Madison, Wisconsin, part of Madison Air Aprilaire makes the equipment that bolts onto a furnace rather than the furnace itself: humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air cleaners and fresh air controls.Arcoaire Carrier Global Corporation, through International Comfort Products Arcoaire is the brand International Comfort Products, a Carrier division, sells as its tough one, built for rugged performance.Armstrong Air Allied Air Enterprises, a Lennox International company Armstrong Air is built by Allied Air Enterprises, part of Lennox International, and sold through ordinary HVAC supply houses.Bryant Carrier Global Corporation Bryant is Carrier's sister brand, built by the same parent company and sharing much of the same engineering.Carrier Carrier Global Corporation Carrier furnaces are a familiar sight in Minnesota basements, from 80% units on old chimneys to Infinity systems with a touchscreen on the wall.Champion Bosch Home Comfort Group Johnson Controls launched Champion in 2015 as a brand sold through one wholesale supply chain, and it shares many model families with Luxaire.Coleman Bosch Home Comfort Group Coleman is the value-priced sibling of York, and in 2025 both moved from Johnson Controls to Bosch.Comfortmaker Carrier Global Corporation, through International Comfort Products Comfortmaker is built by International Comfort Products, the Carrier division behind Heil, Day & Night, Tempstar and Arcoaire, and ICP sells it as the brand for quiet comfort.Concord Allied Air Enterprises LLC, a Lennox International company Concord is a value-priced brand from Allied Air Enterprises, the Lennox International company that also builds Armstrong Air, AirEase and Ducane.Day & Night Carrier Global Corporation, through International Comfort Products Day & Night is one of the brands Carrier builds through International Comfort Products, the division behind Heil, Tempstar, Comfortmaker and Arcoaire.Ducane Allied Air Enterprises LLC, a Lennox International company Ducane is a value brand from Allied Air Enterprises, the Lennox International division that also builds Armstrong Air.Frigidaire Nordyne The Frigidaire name on a furnace doesn't mean the refrigerator factory built it.Gibson Nordyne Gibson is the value-priced name in Nordyne's lineup, and it covers more ground than you might expect: gas furnaces, split air conditioners and heat pumps, packaged units and ductless mini-splits.Goodman Goodman Manufacturing, part of Daikin Comfort Technologies North America Goodman is priced to win bids, so it shows up in a lot of builder-installed systems, rentals and budget replacements.Heil Carrier Global Corporation, through its International Comfort Products Heil is built by International Comfort Products, the Carrier Global division that also makes Tempstar and Comfortmaker.Lennox Lennox International Lennox builds some of the most efficient residential equipment sold, and it sells differently from most brands, straight to dealers instead of through supply houses.Luxaire Bosch Home Comfort Group Luxaire dates its brand to 1939.Maytag Nordyne A Maytag furnace comes from a heating and cooling manufacturer, not from the washing machine side of the name.Navien Navien, Inc. Navien's wall-hung condensing boilers show up in radiant-floor homes, lake places and boiler replacements where floor space is tight.Payne Carrier Global Corporation Payne has been Carrier's plain, budget-priced line for years, and Carrier has now moved it to the WeatherMaker name.Rheem Rheem Manufacturing Company, a subsidiary of Paloma Rheem Holdings Rheem is a long-running American furnace and AC maker, now part of Japan's Paloma Rheem Holdings.RunTru Trane Technologies RunTru is the plain, lower-priced line that Trane designs and builds for buyers who want Trane engineering without paying for premium features.Ruud Rheem Manufacturing Company Ruud has been part of Rheem since 1959, and the two brands now share model families: the same heat pump can wear a Rheem Classic Plus badge or a Ruud Achiever Plus badge.Tempstar Carrier Global Corporation, through International Comfort Products Tempstar comes out of International Comfort Products, the Carrier division that also builds Heil and Comfortmaker.Trane Trane Technologies Trane equipment is built heavy, and its all-aluminum Spine Fin outdoor coils are unlike anything else in the backyard.Weil-McLain SPX Technologies, Inc. Weil-McLain has been making boilers since 1881, and its cast-iron boilers sit in a lot of pre-war Twin Cities basements.Westinghouse Built under license by Nordyne A Westinghouse badge on a furnace or condenser usually means a unit built by Nordyne, the Missouri manufacturer once called Nortek Global HVAC.York Bosch Home Comfort Group York residential equipment changed hands in 2025, when Bosch bought Johnson Controls' residential and light-commercial HVAC business.

Bosch Robert Bosch GmbH, through the Bosch Home Comfort Group Bosch is best known in Minnesota for its IDS inverter heat pumps, often added on top of an existing gas furnace.Daikin Daikin Industries, Ltd. Daikin is the Japanese company that owns Goodman and makes Amana equipment, and it sells its own ductless and ducted systems under the Daikin name.Fujitsu GENERAL Inc. Fujitsu mini-splits go by several names: older residential units say Halcyon, the current line is AIRSTAGE, and since the maker became GENERAL Inc. in January 2026, new products are rolling out under the GENERAL name.Gree Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. of Zhuhai Gree, founded in 1991 and based in Zhuhai, China, sells in the US as GREE Comfort, with wall-mounted, multi-zone and ducted heat pumps.LG LG Electronics LG's heat pumps come from the same LG Electronics that makes TVs and refrigerators, and it shows in the room-side details: ARTCOOL heads designed to be seen and ThinQ Wi-Fi control.Midea Midea Group Co., Ltd. Midea Group calls itself the world's leading manufacturer of home appliances, and Carrier has described it as a long-time supplier of Carrier's residential ductless systems.Mitsubishi Electric Mitsubishi Electric Corporation Mitsubishi Electric's Hyper-Heat equipment is the ductless system most Minnesota homeowners have heard of, and Mitsubishi rates it to keep operating down to -13°F.MrCool MRCOOL, LLC MrCool built its name on a heat pump a homeowner can install: the DIY series ships with line sets already charged with refrigerant, so the connections go together without a vacuum pump or special tools.Samsung Samsung Electronics Samsung's ductless heat pumps are sold in the US through Samsung Lennox HVAC North America, the joint venture Samsung Electronics formed with Lennox in 2024.

Buderus Bosch Group: Buderus Heiztechnik merged with Bosch Thermotechnik in 2004, and the company became Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH in 2008 Buderus is the German boiler maker that became part of Bosch, and its GB142 wall-hung condensing boiler still heats radiant floors and radiator systems around the Twin Cities.Burnham Burnham Holdings, Inc. of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, through its subsidiary U.S. Boiler Company Burnham boilers come from U.S.Lochinvar A. O. Smith Corporation Lochinvar builds its boilers in Lebanon, Tennessee, and its Knight and Noble condensing boilers turn up in newer homes, radiant-floor garages and boiler replacements around the Twin Cities.NTI Ariston Group of Italy NTI, short for NY Thermal Inc., was founded in 1967 and builds its condensing boilers in Saint John, New Brunswick.Peerless PB Heat, LLC of Bally, Pennsylvania Peerless boilers are built by PB Heat in Bally, Pennsylvania, and its cast-iron steam and hot-water boilers turn up in older Twin Cities basements, often as the second or third boiler the house has had.Rinnai Rinnai America Corporation of Peachtree City, Georgia, set up in 1974 as the U.S. arm of Japan's Rinnai Corporation Rinnai is best known in North America for tankless water heaters, but it also makes wall-hung condensing boilers that heat the house, and its combi models make domestic hot water too.Triangle Tube Groupe Atlantic of France Triangle Tube, based in West Deptford, New Jersey, sold stainless steel fire-tube condensing boilers, with the wall-hung Prestige as its flagship.Utica Boilers ECR International of Utica, New York Utica Boilers started in 1928 in Utica, New York, making cast-iron radiators and baseboard, and began building boilers in the 1950s.Viessmann Carrier Global Corporation: Viessmann Climate Solutions, founded in 1917 and based in Allendorf Viessmann's Vitodens condensing boilers show up in radiator houses and radiant-floor homes around the Twin Cities, and each one is built around a stainless steel heat exchanger that rewards a yearly service.

We still work on it. Many brands are built in the same factories as the ones above and share their parts, and older equipment often carries a name that has since been retired. Read us the brand and model number off the label when you call 612-429-3465. A service call is a $79 trip charge, waived when you approve the repair.
