If the house has zone dampers, one may be stuck or its control may have failed. We check the dampers, the zone panel, blower speed and static pressure, and price any repair in writing. The furnace blower in our Victoria home runs constantly on low. Is that a problem?
Not necessarily. Many variable-speed furnaces in newer Victoria homes are set to run the blower continuously at low speed to mix air between floors and feed the air exchanger, and a variable-speed motor uses little electricity doing it.
